About the Artist

Cora Cherubini is a contemporary realist painter whose work centers on portraiture and storytelling. Her oil paintings explore the quiet, often unseen emotional worlds shaped by melancholy, grief, and the complexities of healing. Blending figurative painting with occasional touches of fantasy and folklore, she creates space for reality and imagination to exist together.

Beyond art, Cora has always been interested in the natural world and driven by a curiosity to understand life at a cellular level. She earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2023, contributing to cancer and autoimmune research before pursuing painting full time. She maintains an active interest in neuroscience and enjoys keeping up with the latest discoveries in biomedical research.

Once a proud city girl, Cora now thrives in the calm, introspective atmosphere of rural Ohio, where she shares a home with her loving husband and fiendish cat.
